Canadian Integrated Ocean Observing System (CIOOS)
The Canadian Integrated Ocean Observation System (CIOOS) is a national and international initiative developed in collaboration with other integrated systems (e.g., IOOS in the United States.
This initiative provides Canada, like many other countries, with an integrated ocean observing systems. CIOSS is a consortium of partners located in three regions: the Pacific, the St. Lawrence and the Atlantic. They work in collaboration with regional data providers and users to make these data accessible and available through their portals.
In addition to developing the CIOOS national portal, SLGO was recognized and chosen to be responsible for the St. Lawrence region. For more information on CIOOS, please consult the following web page: cioos.ca
