The St. Lawrence Global Observatory Board of directors, management and staff are proud to announce the official launching of the SLGO.

The event will take place on November 10, 2009 at 16h30 as part of the "Forum québécois en sciences de la mer" scientific conference. The SLGO and its Internet portal will then be presented to the scientific community and to the media. Representatives from SLGO member organizations are expected to attend as well as other distinguished guests.

The launching will be an excellent opportunity for the St. Lawrence ecosystem management stakeholders to learn more about the SLGO vision and objectives, to explore the SLGO Web portal and to appreciate all the benefits of such an extensive initiative.

The Forum will be held at the Rimouski Centre de congrès - November 10-11, 2009. Over 200 scientists and participants are expected to discuss issues related to ecosystems and environmental changes. The program includes theme sessions, discussions, poster session and also features the SLGO launching and the 10th anniversary of ISMER.
