TemperatureThe network of on-line buoys, jointly exploited by Institut Maurice-Lamontagne (IML-DFO) and ISMER (Institut des sciences de la mer, Université du Québec à Rimouski), currently consists of five buoys recording a suite of optical, oceanographic, and meteorological parameters. These buoys are equipped with communication systems, allowing the transfer and access to data in real time.

Sea Surface Temperature
The Maurice Lamontagne Institute remote sensing laboratory operates three satellite image receiving stations (Mont-Joli, Victoria and Resolute Bay) allowing the acquisition of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) weather satellite data and making it possible to present a complete coverage of the three oceans surrounding Canada.

- St. Lawrence Monitored
Physical Oceanography
Biological OceanographyAs part of the Atlantic Zone Monitoring Program (AZMP), scientists from the Maurice Lamontagne Institute (IML) have developed a monitoring program for the St. Lawrence ecosystem. "The St. Lawrence Monitored" presents a detailed description of the program, the oceanographic variables measured, the station locations, and the methods used to sample the waters of the St. Lawrence.
